Background
Kas Women Integrated Development Agency is a non-profit making organization operating in Uganda with her head office in Soroti City in Soroti District. It was conceived in 2012 as a community based organization and registered as a non-governmental organization in 2013. Kas Women Integrated Development Agency focuses on empowering Women and Children who are vulnerable and school dropouts due to culture and gender inequality. Kas Women Integrated Development Agency works with line ministries and organizations to ensure the promotion of food security, livelihood, Women & Childrens' rights, good governance and accountability, promote girl child education, health water and sanitation.
The beneficiaries of Kwida are characterized by of gender based violence due to deep rooted cultural believes in the society they live in leading to forced early marriages. Kas Women Integrated Development Agency (KWIDA) exists to engage Women and Children in psycho-socio change through their rights, gender equality, promote socio economic development, good governance and accountability.

- To train women on mechanized farming and supply improved seed to curb food insecurity and household hunger.
- To train business opportunities and importance of value addition.
- To sensitize woman on government opportunities and their role in a changing society.
- Train women in leadership and their role in good governance and accountability.
- Train women on the importance village savings and loan associations.
- To increase civic education on the rights of girl child and reproductive health.
- Increase HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns in the rural communities.
- Link women entrepreneurs to larger markets for their products.
- To lobby support for entrepreneurship among women living with HIV/AIDS in the community.
Our philosophy.
KWIDA has her pride in evidence based practice through monitoring and evaluation of successful completion of programs and projects. Membership: KWIDA membership is a coalition of women and individuals who share passion for women rights, gender equality and promotion of initiatives that engage women in good governance and accountability. The members put together their meager resources to ensure the sustainability of rural development. Our Staff: KWIDAS staff is comprised of competent members who are professional and ethical in service delivery; they are motivated by passion and love for humanity with women being the source of power to change society. KWIDA currently has 9 full time volunteer staff engaged in training women and girls on their rights and engagement to economic development in the society.Thematic areas.
Experience.
Kas Women Integrated Development Agency has experience in supporting Women & Children in Soroti City and Ngenge fight against house hold hunger and improves nutrition. The agency has been able to success fully engage women in sustainable food security through subsistence farming and small group savings loan associations (VSLA).Key achievements:
- Kas Women Integrated Development Agency mobilized and trained 2 groups of 30 women on small scale corn and bean farming to fight against household hunger in Ngenge and Cheboron sub-counties.
- Corn seeds were supplied to all beneficiaries in their respective locations.
- 30 Children living and working on the streets of Soroti were successfully enrolled and passed on different life skills.
- The local project management committee was successfully formed to oversee the implementation process.
- KWIDA conducted 2 post harvest trainings to women beneficiaries.
- Conducted project impact assessment in Ngenge.
Our Capacity
Kas Women Integrated Development Agency has an operating office with experienced reliable and committed volunteer staff who participate in project implementation. There are well laid procedures that guide the volunteer staff implement projects and ensure documented quality control that are satisfactory to stakeholders and donor support.Governance and Management
